What a fantastic year it’s been, with a brilliant programme of events both airside and groundside—and there’s still plenty more to look forward to! Here’s what’s coming up:

Remembrance Sunday — 8^th November, 10:45–11:15

Join us as we come together for our annual memorial service and poppy drop over the airfield. This years’ service will include moving reflections on the personnel who served at Breighton during the Second World War. Shortly after lunch, our resident historian will also present a fascinating 45-minute talk bringing this important chapter of the airfield’s history vividly to life.

Christmas Wreath-Making Workshop — 3^rd December, 12:30–14:30

Get into the festive spirit and create your own beautiful Christmas wreath, with expert guidance, seasonal greenery and a wonderful selection of festive decorations.

£40 per person—everything you need is included, along with a mince pie and a warming hot drink.

Christmas Party — 5^th December

We’re taking over the Loftsome Bridge Hotel in Wressle for a full evening of festive fun! Expect a traditional Christmas dinner, our always-entertaining humorous awards ceremony and a disco to keep the celebrations going.

The price per person will be confirmed soon, so save the date now! If you’d like to stay overnight, we recommend booking a room early before they’re all snapped up.

Festive Afternoon Tea with Santa — 20^th December

A magical festive treat for children—and grown-ups too! Enjoy a delicious afternoon tea and a very special visit from Santa himself.

Santa is taking time out of his busiest season to land at the airfield and settle into our temporary grotto. With his sleigh undergoing an in-depth inspection ahead of the big night on the 25^th, he’ll be making his grand arrival by fixed-wing aircraft!

Adults: £19.95—includes afternoon tea and tea or coffee.

Children: £16.95—includes afternoon tea, writing a letter to Santa, making reindeer food and a visit to the grotto, where each child will receive a wrapped selection box from the big man himself.

Time to be confirmed, but it will be around lunchtime—we’re just waiting for Santa to file his flight plan!
